Exclusion — Damage To Work Performed By Subcontractors On Your Behalf — Designated Sites Or Operations

Like CG 22 94 but limited to scheduled job sites — still removes subcontractor-defect coverage there.

What it actually does

CG 22 95 is the designated-sites version of CG 22 94. Where CG 22 94 removes the subcontractor exception to the "your work" exclusion across the entire policy, CG 22 95 removes it only for the specific job sites or operations listed in the endorsement's schedule.

The effect on a scheduled project is the same and just as serious: damage to the named insured's completed work that was performed by a subcontractor is excluded at that site, gutting construction-defect coverage there. The narrower scope can be even easier to miss, because the policy still provides full coverage everywhere else — so a quick review can wrongly conclude the subcontractor exception is intact.

When verifying, read the schedule: if YOUR project is listed on a CG 22 95, treat it exactly like a CG 22 94 for that project and escalate.

Verification checklist

  • 01Read the CG 22 95 schedule to see whether your project/site is listed.
  • 02If your site is listed, treat defect coverage there as gutted (same as CG 22 94).
  • 03Confirm whether the broker can remove your site from the schedule.
  • 04Don't assume the policy is fine just because coverage is intact at other sites.

Common mistakes

  • ·Skipping the schedule and missing that your specific project is the excluded one.
  • ·Treating CG 22 95 as harmless because it's 'only' designated sites — it's full removal at those sites.

Frequently asked questions

Is CG 22 95 less serious than CG 22 94?

Only in scope. CG 22 95 removes the subcontractor exception just for scheduled sites — but at those sites the effect is identical to CG 22 94.

How do I know if CG 22 95 affects me?

Read its schedule. If your project or site is listed, subcontractor-defect coverage is removed there and you should escalate.

Why is CG 22 95 easy to miss?

Because coverage looks intact everywhere except the scheduled sites, a quick review can wrongly conclude the subcontractor exception is still in place.
