Additional Insured (Completed Operations) — 04 13 Edition

Current completed-operations companion to CG 20 10 04 13 — same limits cap and contract-limiting language.

What it actually does

CG 20 37 04 13 is the April 2013 edition of the scheduled completed-operations additional-insured endorsement. It extends additional-insured status to liability arising out of the named insured's completed operations — finished work that later causes injury or property damage — and mirrors the 04 13 changes to CG 20 10.

That means the same two limiters apply: coverage is "not broader than" what the written contract requires, and is capped at the lesser of the contract-required limits or the policy limits. Completed-operations coverage is also subject to the policy's separate products-completed-operations aggregate.

This is the edition to pair with CG 20 10 04 13 in current subcontracts. Together they give the additional insured both ongoing and completed-operations protection under the matching 2013 form language.

Verification checklist

  • 01Confirm the lower-corner edition reads '04 13'.
  • 02Confirm it pairs with CG 20 10 04 13 (matching editions).
  • 03Check the products-completed-operations aggregate — that's the cap for completed-ops AI claims.
  • 04Verify the schedule names the GC/owner and project.

Which edition do you have?

04 13 added the limits cap and "not broader than required by contract" language to the completed-operations form, matching the CG 20 10 04 13 changes. Keep the CG 20 10 and CG 20 37 editions aligned on the same policy.

Common mistakes

  • ·Pairing a 04 13 completed-ops form with a mismatched CG 20 10 edition.
  • ·Overlooking that completed-ops coverage draws on the smaller products-completed-operations aggregate.

Frequently asked questions

Should CG 20 37 04 13 match the CG 20 10 edition?

Yes. Use the matching 04 13 editions so the ongoing and completed-operations additional-insured grants share the same trigger and limits language.

Which aggregate covers CG 20 37 claims?

Completed-operations claims draw on the policy's products-completed-operations aggregate, which is separate from (and often smaller than) the general aggregate.

Is CG 20 37 04 13 enough on its own?

No — it only covers completed operations. Pair it with CG 20 10 04 13 (or use CG 20 38) for ongoing-operations coverage too.
